Day 1 - Welcome to St. Petersburg #WHS#
Check in to the 5-star Corinthia Nevsky Hotel, set in two majestic 19th-century buildings along the city’s most famous street, the elegant Nevsky Prospekt. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a congenial welcome dinner. Meals D

Day 2 - Discover the City of Peter the Great
Join your St. Petersburg guide, an in-the-know city native, for this morning’s tour - starting with the handsome Baroque buildings that grace the Nevsky Prospect. Behold the massive gilded dome of St. Isaac’s Cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world, and admire the stately elegance of the Church of Spilled the Blood, set alongside one of the city’s many picturesque canals. Then tour the magnificent art collection of the Hermitage Museum, set in an erstwhile palace of the Czars and the one-time center of the Romanov Court. Return to your hotel with your guide or explore more of the Hermitage at your own pace. Meals B

Day 3 - The exuberant fountains of Peterhof
This morning we take you to The Peterhof, the magnificent estate created by Peter the Great as his summer residence on the Gulf of Finland. Join your engaging guide to meander its landscaped grounds, graced with beautiful palaces built by a succession of czars. Admire the gilded statues that ornament the park and thrill to the incredible display of its Grand Cascades. Return to the city and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Your hotel’s heart-of-it-all location makes it easy to step out and explore at your own pace. Meals B

Day 4 - From an Empress’ palace to your luxury ship
Travel to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) and visit the resplendent Catherine Palace for a look into the opulent life of Peter the Great’s wife Catherine I and their daughter Empress Elizabeth. Later, step aboard the 5-star MS Volga Dream and settle in to your lovely outside stateroom. Day 5 - Ashore in Mandrogi
Cruise the scenic Svir River to Mandrogi, a village that has been painstakingly reconstructed to showcase the traditions and cultural heritage of Russia’s past. Visit the old wooden homes and see skilled artisans at work. Meals B,L,D

Day 6 - Kizhi Island and the Open Air Museum
Sail across Lake Onega, Europe’s second largest lake, and step ashore on picturesque Kizhi Island#WHS# to visit the renowned Open Air Museum of Architecture. See stellar examples of traditional Russian wooden structures including windmills, houses and the 300-year-old Church of the Transfiguration, an onion-domed fantasy with 22 cupolas hand-built with chisels, axes and not a single nail. Day 7 - Ashore in Goritzy
Alight in Goritzy and tour the Kiril-Belosersky Monastery and the 13th-century Cathedral of the Assumption, famed for its outstanding and well-preserved frescoes. Meals B,L,D

Day 8 - Ancient churches and colorful markets in Yaroslavl #WHS#
Your touring in this picturesque city, the oldest on the Volga, includes the Savior Transfiguration Monastery and the 17th-century Church of Elijah the Prophet, graced with frescoes. Then browse a colorful farmers’ market where you can sample the products. Meals B,L,D

Day 9 - The fabled Golden Ring town of Uglich
Home baked bread and a sprinkling of salt is the traditional Russian welcome that greets you in this enchanting Golden Ring town. Your guided walking tour includes the famed Tsarevitch Church that was built to honor the memory of Ivan the Terrible’s son – who died mysteriously on this site. Meals B,L,D

Day 10 - Welcome to Moscow
Disembark the Volga Dream this morning and set out on a sightseeing tour of the city. Begin in Red Square#WHS# where you will gaze in awe upon the colorful domes of St. Basil’s Cathedral. To the right is the ornate, turn-of-the-century façade of the historic GUM Department Store and before you are the carved cornices and towers of the State Historical Museum, built in 1894. Continue onward to admire the graceful golden spires of Novodevichy Convent#WHS# and ride the world-famous Moscow Metro. In the afternoon, check in to the landmark Hilton Leningradskaya Hotel. Day 11 - Into the Kremlin
Enter within its imposing red-brick fortress walls for a guided tour of the Kremlin Grounds#WHS#, including the gold-domed Assumption Cathedral. Then explore the Kremlin Armory Museum where you’ll be spellbound by a dazzling collection of Imperial treasures, including jeweled crowns, coronation gowns, gilded coaches and Fabergé Eggs.
